Landing at Lostman Five Campsite
Lostman Five had the standard dock and portapotty. We tied the two canoes off between the mangroves and pier to ensure the raccoons would not get into the boats. Jim and Doug packed as if they were backpacking. I packed a Rubbermaid footlocker - since I am more used to traveling in the wilderness with a US Army Division. This meant that I had plenty of canned pears and peaches to share. And, from time to time, could surprise my companions with cookies, extra pairs of binoculars and even a small battery powered weather radio. What I didn't have were gloves - of which, thankfully, Doug had an extra pair.
